Cajun Tasso ham, broiled tomato, Marchand de Vin sauce, and hollandaise on an english muffin served with potatoes and a salad. A full plate indeed. I wasn't sure what to expect out of the Eggs Hussarde as I've never had this variation of the benny, but it really didn't taste that much different from a regular benny to me. However, the Cajun Tasso ham was noticably different. Great benny, great service. 4 out of 5
You know Juan had to provide hope to the people after Hurricane Katrina... so what did he do? Order the Re-New Orleans eggs benedict! Definitely a change of pace here. No, your eyes are not deceiving you. There is no english muffin OR biscuit under that benny. That my friends, is Crawfish-potato hash. It was incredible, tons of crawfish. Add a couple of poached eggs topped with smoke tomato Choron sauce and you've got the Re-New Orleans. This dish definitely had some of that "Nawlans" creole soul-food spice to it. Off the hook, would also be great to eat for lunch or dinner. Served with a side salad, this may be the first benny that didn't make me want to kill myself after consuming it - Quite refreshing. There's a reason why the lights from the heavens are shining down on the picture of the Re-New Orleans and not the Hussarde. Go find out for yourself

This was the weekend I did the impossible. Two bennys in two days. The surgeon general disapproves of even consuming one benny per month, let alone two in two days.
Sunday morning record store trek to west philly with Eli turns into a visit to ZOT, a hidden belgian beer spot that could most definitely hang with Monks... PLUS they serve brunch on Sunday! Frites, homemade biscuits, poached eggs, bernaise sauce (!), and fried prosciutto instead of bacon.

One of two Sabrina's reviews as their Eggs Benedict Florentine DOES taste different at each location. Sabrina's is usually packed, but the homie Raws and I were lucky enough to find some seats at the bar. After Luke explained to the waitress that I was an "Eggs Benedict Connoisseur" and my blood is actually 43% hollandaise sauce... it was time to get down on the Eggs Benedict Florentine. This is their bare bones benny, and I couldn't be more satisfied with it.... just wish it wasn't so damn crowded at this spot!

Juan and I ventured to south phil for the Royal Tavern's Eggs Blackstone. Poached eggs, biscuits, fried tomatoes, crumbled bacon, hollandaise sauce, and hash browns. I'm not really quite sure how to explain this, but this benny got better over time. I felt like something was off about the first biscuit, but the second one regained my faith in the Blackstone.
Not your classic eggs benedict. Listed as "Huevos Dos Segundos", this is more of a mexican take on the eggs benedict. Sopes are substituted for english muffins, and I believe there were some refried beans in there as well. An interesting dish, but not something I would order regularly.
Your classic eggs benedict. Nothing spectacular upon first glance, but this turned out to be a decent benny. Hollandaise sauce was a little sweet for my taste (very similar to Sabrinas). They also have a salmon & tomato benny which I'll be getting into sometime in the near future.
Regular Eggs Benedict... perfection in a benny. Homemade biscuits & the perfect amount of hollandaise sauce.

Always a great selection here. Biscuits, eggs and hollandaise are all superb. And look at those potatoes?! Crispy and delicious, best of the city thus far. My only side-note is that I prefer the classic canadian bacon as opposed to the regular bacon pictured here. Otherwise, no complaints. The Abbaye is our home-field of breakfast spots, if you will. You'll never once wait for a table (all of you suckers waiting out front of Honeys need to get a clue) and the home of Jorge, only the best server in the 215.

Don't ever order this. Unless you enjoy feeling like complete crap. The infamous Texas Benedict. This is the second (and last) Texas Benny I've ever ordered from the Abbaye.
Homemade biscuits, gravy, bacon, poached eggs, and... fried chicken.Tastes GREAT, but not intended to be eaten by humans.

In all seriousness, I dig this benny as much as the regular benny at the Abbaye. Nothing complicated about this one... ditch the bacon, add some veggies.
